Kvareli municipality – is an area in eastern Georgia, Kakheti, on the northeast edge of the Alazani Valley. There are three major facilities in the city: city fortress, the house-museum of Ilia Chavchavadze and the Church of St. John the Baptist. The area is famous for its wine, here is produced many famous Kakheti wines, in particular - Kindzmarauli.
Church of St. John the Baptist, Orthodox Church, built in the name of John the Baptist. This religious building is an example of the original Georgian architecture, was built in the twelfth century.
Kvareli winery "Kindzmaraulis Marani" – is one of the attractions of this area. It is unique in a variety of old vintage wines.
