Mestia
Svaneti is a land of thousand towers – it’s the most mysterious, inaccessible highland of Georgia, constantly, attracting a large number of tourists by its unique scenery, distinctive historic architecture, culture and way of life preserved for centuries.
Hatsvali is new ski resort near the town Mestia. It is located in the heart of the highest region – Svaneti - 1500 m. above the sea level. New cable cars and the yoke Poma were installed in 2012. The trails are Illuminated for the night skiing offering café-restaurants on the top and bottom station.
Elevation is from 1865 up to 2345 m. above the sea level. Modern Hatsvali cable car has four chairs and the trail is more than 1400 m. long and there are 2 yokes from 300 m. up to 600 m. above the sea level for the beginners and children.
In Mestia ski season starts in November and ends in the beginning of April thanks to the high location.
The total length of the route Hatsvali is not that big, but every year new trail opens up and new routes are created. The length and the complexity are not very high: blue and red trails are 2600 m. long but this is a great place for the free riders: a lot of backcountry trails as well as a very interesting forest on the slopes of Hatsvali.
The tour lasts from 12 to 14 days upon request
