Gergeti Trinity Church (XIVv.) was built on top of the ridge at the foot of Mount Kazbek (5033 m). It was built 600 years ago of stone and is one of the historical sites and is the pride of the country.
Truso gorge - is the gorge in the northeast of Georgia and n Russia. Most of the valley belongs administratively to Kazbegi Municipality of Mtskheta-Mtianeti region. Small rocky area of Glacier Savitisi belongs to Russia and is one of the republic of North Ossetia. It is located on the northern slope of the Caucasus. Because of the wealth of mineral springs it is often called "Narzans Valley ."
Daryal Gorge - is Terek river gorge at the crossing point of Lateral Range of the Greater Caucasus, east of Mount Kazbek, on the border of Russia (North Ossetia) and Georgia - between the villages of Upper Lars and settlement of Stepantsminda (Kazbegi). Over 3 km above riverbed rises the rocks up to 1000 m altitude. Daryal Gorge was known to the ancient geographers as the "Gateway to the Caucasus" ("Alan Gates").
