Day 1: Tbilisi Arrival to Tbilisi. Meeting with the representatives of the agency. Hotel accommodation. Dinner. Overnight.
Day 2: Tbilisi
Breakfast. Excursion in Tbilisi. The capital of Georgia is unique.It stands on the several mountain hills, on which "creep" the old blocks. Tbilisi - is a beautiful river Kura with its picturesque rocky shores, that flows across the whole city.
"Old Town" - is the historic center of Tbilisi, that is located at the root of Mtatsminda (Holy Mount) mountain. Almost all of the buildings of the Old Town are historical and cultural sites, this part of the city is round - the - clock full of life, here walk alone or in groups tourists, meet lovers near the Clock Tower. This amuzing Tower appeared here recently, built by the Puppet Theatre director Rezo Gabriadze. Here artists exhibit their paintings, artisans offer numerous souvenirs.
Tbilisi is one of the rare places in the world, where can peacefully exist in the Old Town orthodox church, catholic cathedra, synagogue and mosque. Excursion to the synagogue. Walk through the Jewish quarter. Lunch.
During the excursion, visit of Metekhi Church ( V c.), Narikala fortress ( IV c.), Sioni Cathedral (VI-VII c.), Anchiskhati Basilica of St Mary, the oldest surviving church, Synaxis of Saint Trinity of the temple complex of Tsminda Sameba - the main Cathedral of Georgian Orthodox Church. Walking tour at the Shota Rustaveli avenue. Dinner. Overnight in the hotel in Tbilisi.
Day 3: Tbilisi - Manavi - Bodbe - Sighnaghi - Kvareli
Breakfast. Arrival to the " town of everlasting love" Sighnaghi. Then, passing through, acquaintance with the history of the Manavi Fortress (XI century) and the Manavi Temple (XVIII century). The church was built in 1794 by the abbot of the monastery of John the Baptist from the monastery David Gareji - Ephraim. In the 17th century here was located the royal vineyards and the estate of Heraclius II. Stop in the pearl of Kakheti - a private estate "Chateau Fort de Manavi". In the program of the visit: an excursion to the Art Gallery, organized directly on the territory, where amazing works of local masters are presented;tasting of wines and chacha, produced according to traditional old Georgian technology directly in the marani "Chateau Fort de Manavi" from grapes grown in the estate's own vineyards. The highlight of the tasting will be "Manavi Green" - a wine made from a special grape variety that grows only in the area of the village of Manavi in Georgia. Master class on cooking Georgian dishes. Lunch in traditional Georgian style. Visit in the Bodbe village of the monastery complex of St. George and the grave of St. Nino. Excursion in Sighnaghi, that is placed at the top of the ridge, overlooking Alazani valley. Visit the historical and ethnographic museum with exhibits from the V century BC until the XIX century. The museum also houses paintings of famous Georgian artist Niko Pirosmani. Visit the oldest wine factory in Georgia, "Kindzmarauli Marani". Then hotel accomadation. Dinner. Overnight.
Day 4: Kvareli - Nekresi - winemaking Khareba - Kvareli
Breakfast. Visit of Nekresi - the oldest temple in Georgia of the IV century. Then visit in Winemaking Khareba. Wine degustation in wine factory Khareba. Company producing wines "Winemaking Khareba» is based on the ancient traditions.The company is working to preserve the unique culture of the vine and wine production, according to the old methods, and with the latest technology. Of great importance is the storage of wine. In Kvareli region of Kakheti, in the rocky slope of Caucasus Mountains, at the end of the 50s of the last century was cut through the tunnel, which originally had a military purpose, but with the development of military technology gradually lost its meaning like a fortification and was used as a unique repository of the best wines of Kakheti. It has a natural temperature of 12-14C throughout the year, ideal for storing and ageing wine. The tunnel was originally built by the military towards the end of the 1950s. The rapid development of military technology, however, rendered the tunnel’s defensive potential obsolete and it lost its meaning. From that moment on, the tunnel was used to store Kakheti’s finest wines.
The complex consists of two main tunnels linked by 13 smaller galleries 500 metres long. The total length of these tunnels is 7.7 kilometres. The tunnels are used for different purposes: one is destined for tourists, whereas large quantities of wine are stored and aged in the other. This is where the Winery Khareba stores around 25,000 bottles of its finest wines. Lunch. Return in hotel. Free time. Dinner. Overnight.
Day 5: Kvareli - Gremi - Telavi - Tbilisi
Breakfast. Visit to the oldest winery in Georgia "Kindzmarauli Marani". Next, excursion in the Gremi royal fortress (XVI c.). The complex is surrounded by the wall with towers and embrasures. The remains of the secret underground passage, that leads to the river, survived. Here is also located the Church of the Archangels (XVI - XVII c.). Lunch. Excursion in Telavi - main city and administrative center of Kakhetia, museum - fortress of tsar Erekle II (XVIII c.), that signed Treaty of Georgievsk with the Russian Empire. Departure to Tbilisi. Hotel accommodation in Tbilisi. Dinner. Overnight.
Day 6: Tbilisi - Mtskheta - Ananuri - Tbilisi
Breakfast. From the morning excursion of the ancient capital of Georgia - Mtskheta - the town-museum, included to the UNESCO World Heritage Site List. Visit of Svetitskhoveli Cathedral (1010-1029), at the bottom of which is buried one of the major Christian relics Lords chiton, as well as the burial place of many of the Georgian kings. Here is also the part of life-giving pillar. Visit of Samtavro monastery, where year round grow, flower and fruit blackberry bush, near of which in the IV century lived and preached St. Nino- enlightener, the first preacher of Christianity in Georgia. Woderworking icon of Iberian Mother of God, woderworking icon of St. Nino, grave of St. Tsar Merian and Tsarina Nani, hallows of St. Abibos Nekresky, St. Shio Mhvimskoho are placed inside. Visit of the ancient temple - monastery Jvari (VI c.). Lunch. Then, we overlook the picturesque Ananuri fortress (XVI c.), located above Aragvi river, and also the amazing beauty of Zhinvali reservoir. Return to Tbilisi. Dinner. Overnight.
Day 7: Tbilisi - Gori - Uplistsikhe - Tbilisi
Breakfast. Departure in Gori. Excursion in the Stalin museum. Museum consists of three blocks - museum, house and railway carriage. Lunch. In passing, excursion in Uplistsikhe (I centuries BC), ancient cave town, that was finishing the building for centuries, and included more than 700 caves and buildings, including wineries, bakeries, antique theater, hall of receptions of Queen Tamara, preserved to this day. Return to Tbilisi. Closing dinner with national dances and songs. Overnight.
Day 8: Tbilisi
Breakfast. Free time. Lunch. Transfer to the airport and return home.
